Why don't we just make a straight 5 years for all of 'em, President down to alderman?

What get me is a newly elected senator or a congress person has no power at all. There is about 4 people who actually control both the senate and congress.

Foxx, McConnell, Pelosi, Schumer. Get rid of them. It's sickening thay have been able to sit there for so long without doing hardly anything while becoming millionaires.

I'm surprised at you, HIAM! As an old school conservative, I actually don't agree with it at all. And I don't agree with term limits on the Presidency, either.

If the majority of people want their representative to be in office a 3rd, 5th, or 20th time, then they should be allowed to vote for him or her.

But I don't agree with all of the advantages given to incumbents, like the ability to use tax money for campaigning. Or the ability to accept campaign contributions (or stock shares) in exchange for votes. That should be heavily regulated and be considered a criminal act.

This is one issue many Democrats and Republicans agree on. We need to make it happen.

There's a Bill in Congress that wants to pass a Constitutional amendment limiting House members to 3 terms and Senate to 2 terms.

What do you think?
